Job Description:

Position Purpose

Develop and manage KONG’s Ecommerce Sales Channel. Provide leadership and strategic thinking to direct Ecommerce customers and Ecommerce sales support team.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead the formal development of KONG’s online sales strategy
  • Work in partnership with the KONG Brand Impact team in support the Online Toolkit
  • Key account sales responsibility for ecommerce customers
    • Brand representation, product catalog & specifications, finances, etc.
  • Guide direction and collaboration with additional Ecommerce sales associates
  • Manage the Online Authorized Program of Ecommerce customers
    • Build and manage membership base
    • Establishing the highest reflection of brand value
  • Develop and foster account relationships across key functional areas
  • Establish customer level priorities to maximize objectives in the following areas:
    • KONG Online Toolkit representing brand principles
    • Product catalog assortment, pricing and promotion
    • New item placement
  • Work in partnership with KONG Pet Distribution Sales Representatives to guide Ecommerce priorities within distributor network
  • Work cross functionally within KONG to support account needs and priorities
  • Represent KONG’s Ecommerce sales development to supervisor and senior management

Experience and Skills:

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and five years relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Experience developing and leading Ecommerce sales strategy
  • Experience in day to day management of Ecommerce customer business
  • Experience as the direct vendor’s primary sales point of contact with Amazon (Vendor Central, AMS, AMG)
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate clearly
  • Ability to use independent judgment, analyze information and formulate recommendations
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service
